Great news everyone! As of yesterday, January 23rd of 2024, we are now officially formed as a non-profit with the State of Texas! After some small celebrating with plenty of joy to go around, we set our sights on the next big step... the dreaded IRS! We are waiting for each of us to get paid from our day jobs, and then we file with the IRS for 501(c)3 status to become tax exempt and expand the donations and help more people. Until then, make sure to subscribe to the mailer list to stay up to date on the most recent events.
This Saturday, January 27th, we are planning on making a large pot of hot potato soup and going out again to try to help. Last time, due to the frigid weather, we ended up going to the Salvation Army and feeding everyone there. We just barely had enough, but all 52 people that were there that night didn't go hungry! Wish us luck this Saturday! We hope to find as many people in need as we can!
